Food Trucks on track to become $2.7B industry by 2017

A report by Mountain View-based financial software company Intuit Inc. (with research by Emergent Research) forecasts that Fooe Trucks, or “rolling restaurants”, are on track to be a $2.7 billion national industry by 2017.

The National Restaurant Association estimates that the Food Truck industry generates over $650 million in annual revenue, roughly 1 percent of U.S. restaurant sales. Intuit expects that market share to jump to 3 or 4 percent in the next five years.
